Hello, I’m Jay.
I’m an award-winning author, blogger, and behavioral health pharmacist.
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE LIFE YOU’RE LIVING?
I love thinking and writing about personal growth and retirement planning. My mission is simple—to educate, inspire, and empower you to overcome obstacles and create a life you genuinely enjoy, both before and during retirement.
I’ve learned a lot from my own personal growth journey and from studying top personal development experts. Over time, I’ve gathered valuable insights to share. My goal is to help you live with purpose and intention, making the most of every stage of life.
To get started, grab my FREE guide, The Planning, Living, and Thriving in Retirement Cheat Sheet. It’s packed with smart tips to help you live well and thrive before and during retirement. Click here to claim your copy.
I’m also passionate about helping people discover and embrace their purpose. My first book, Rise Above the Rut, reflects this. In it, I introduce my proprietary 3-Step Process—a simple but powerful approach to overcoming obstacles and achieving your dreams.
Beyond writing, I’ve worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, where I helped mentor and train future pharmacists.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading non-fiction and historical fiction, as well as listening to smooth jazz and classic rock. My life is a mix of words, wisdom, and music.
I live by my motto: “Dispensing Life-Changing Words”
I’d love for you to join me on this journey of purposeful living. Please follow me on my Facebook Author Page and sign up on my mailing list to receive a new blog post every couple of weeks for fresh insights and inspiration.
Purpose, Plan, and Progress
By following this 3-step process, I successfully:

Changed from working a stressful job in pharmacy management to become a writer and author. I love what I am doing!

Established a daily exercise plan and now feel as healthy as I ever have. And my doctor agrees.

Studied finance and budgeting and worked out a plan to become debt free. It feels great!

Moved from a big old house into a very nice apartment to simplify our lives and free up time for more meaningful activities. It was a smart decision.
